Able Archer colors

Able Archer bags come in 3 primary colors representing 3 environments, Leaf (tropical), Cement (urban) and Sand (arid).

Evoking the three classic vintage military colors, Olive Drab, Field Grey and Khaki, the Able Archer colors are also reminiscent of the three shades currently in use by the U.S. Army's Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP).

These 3 shades compose our Able Archer Flag, the only external branding on our bags. Small and subtle, the flag expresses the expeditionary nature of our go-anywhere, do-anything bags, while also serving as the color swatch book for our entire product line.

A Look Inside Able Archer

As promised, here's an inside look at Able Archer bags.

Underneath water resistant canvas and vintage era metal hardware, every Able Archer bag is lined with lightly padded waterproof nylon and multiple rows of military grade elastic webbing.

The back rows of webbing are compatible with military standard pouches and accessories available at Army/Navy Surplus stores worldwide. The front rows of webbing are sewn at different lengths measured to hold notebooks, pens, markers, flashlights, cables, hard drives and power adapters. They are repeated vertically to also hold tall items like umbrellas, bottles, spray cans or in a pinch, photo lenses.

Our bags don't use velcro or boxy padding that overly commit or give away the purpose of the bag. Instead of noisy and bulky dividers common to gear bags today, Able Archer relies on elastic loops and detachable pouches for equipment. Pouches can also be attached to the exterior of the bags when more internal space is needed; you can even attach pouches to the shoulder strap.

Though compatible with standard pouches for a variety of items, Able Archer will be releasing specialized padded pouches for lenses, flashes and camera bodies this summer.

Able Archer recognizes that storage needs change on a daily basis, sometimes multiple times. Our system allows as much on-the-spot specialization as required, always remaining a nimble, go-to-bag for any circumstance.

There's still a lot more inside Able Archer bags. To stay up on our updates, follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
