Able Archer is a line of purpose-driven bags inspired by the work of photojournalists, news writers and traveling professionals.
Invoking vintage military surplus designs of yesterday, Able Archer bags are as rugged and functional on the outside as they are unimposing and anonymous.
On the inside, Able Archer is a modern, customizable, and highly accessible carry system for the tools of today.
If actions define us, Able Archer draws utility within – empowering us to carry through boundaries, borders, and ultimately our objectives.
UNDERNEATH water-resistant canvas and vintage era metal hardware, Able Archer bags are lined with lightly padded nylon and rows of military grade elastic webbing.
The back rows of ELASTIC are 'MOLLE/PALS' standard, compatible with pouches and accessories found in Army/Navy Surplus stores worldwide.
The front rows of INTERNAL webbing are sewn at various lengths, measured to hold notebooks, pens, markers, flashlights, cables, hard drives and power adapters.
Webbing is repeated vertically in columns to also hold tall items like umbrellas, water bottles, spray cans and telephoto lenses.
Conventional gear bags use boxy padding and noisy velcro dividers that over-specialize and betray the contents of the bag.
Recognizing that storage needs change on a daily basis, often multiple times A day, Able Archer relies on elastic webbing and INTERNAL detachable pouches for equipment.
Pouches can be moved to the OUTSIDE when more internal space is needed – you can even attach pouches to the shoulder strapS. See More >
Able Archer's own line of photo-friendly 'MultiPoucHeS' attach directly to the internal or external webbing, adapting to various cameras, lenses, items and situations.
